My name is Perk...
I am the founder of Pop Smoke K9 for Veterans. As a severely wounded Army veteran myself, I know firsthand what a service dog can do for our warriors who suffer the visible and invisible wounds of combat. My dog Tobey changed my life and I plan to help change other veteran's lives through this nonprofit, Pop Smoke K9 for Veterans.
My Story...
My story, like many veterans, has quite a bit of trauma in it, but I am here to share it in the service to others. I was severely wounded by an IED blast in Afghanistan and am a cancer survivor. These things do not define me, however. I built this nonprofit to help veterans like me whether they have the obvious visible wounds like me or the, sometimes more dangerous, invisible wounds.
